Crane scales

The scales have a clear display and they can be equipped with handheld display units or radio data transmission to a ground station or a PC in the office. Information on material, customer, price, stock and so on can also be transmitted. We also have special models for foundries and for weighing long pieces. The OIML models are approved for commercial weighing.

The use and type of installation are the factors determining the weigh bridge length. Standard lengths are 8 – 26 metres. In addition to this, we also manufacture custom length weigh bridges.
Customer requirements and type of use are always considered when designing and installing our scales. The scales can be flush with the ground, installed on the surface or in a slope with the other end of the weigh bridge open. Our long experience and product design guarantee a fast installation. Tamtron has the accreditation which allows us to calibrate the scales after installation.

The weigh bridges can be manufactured either of steel (Scalex 1000) or reinforced concrete (Scalex 1001). All scale types are safe, reliable and user-friendly. The weigh bridges can of course be equipped with heating, which helps to keep the bridge clean in cold weather. In addition to this, the scale systems can be supplemented with a variety of accessories -e.g. a PC-based driver terminal, identification, wireless communication, gate functions, video surveillance, etc.
The PC software programme 'Scalex Pro' is designed to meet the requirements of industrial companies. It can accept weight data from both Tamtron's on-board crane scales and wheel loader scales.
All Tamtron scales have EU type approval. There are also bespoke approvals for many countries outside the EU.

Tank scales
Tamtron has the right solution for weighing tanks and silos. The load cells used are selected according to the material to be weighed and the type of installation. We supply a comprehensive range of load cells. There is an inexpensive basic instrument for standard applications. Load cells with a variety of functions or in combination with an industrial PC will meet the requirements of the most demanding customer.

Railway scales

Reach stacker scales
Tamtron's reach stacker scale is suitable for many purposes: weighing containers or bundles of timber, monitoring material flows and for quality control. Durable load cells, combined with the weighing instrument selected according to the application (standard device - on-board PC), form a reliable weighing system, suitable for rough conditions.
The data can be transferred point-to-point using modems, Bluetooth, Wlan, GSM data or GPRS to Tamtron's reporting software or the company's existing information systems.

Load cells
Tamtron's analog and digital load cells are reliable because they are manufactured with the application's requirements in mind. The load cell production takes place in a clean room facility. We have manufactured tens of thousands of load cells in the capacity range of 100 g – 240 tonnes. Tamtron's load cells are used to increase productivity and to enhance safety in cranes, transport equipment, conveyors, loaders, tanks and other similar vehicles of the leading manufacturers. A correctly designed load cell often replaces an existing axle and is much less expensive than a standard load cell requiring expensive modifications to the machine it is fitted to. Tamtron manufactures both competitively-priced standard load cells and load cells of high quality optimised for a specific application.

Tamtron supplies a comprehensive range of weighing instruments. We design and manufacture the instruments ourselves. This enables us to react quickly to changing customer requirements. Tamtron supplies instruments capable of analysing, calculating and reporting the load. The instrument can be connected to a an industrial PC, too. Operating voltage and protection class are selected according to the application in question.
