The use and type of installation are the factors determining the weigh bridge length. Standard lengths are 8–26 metres. In addition to this, we also manufacture custom length weigh bridges.
Customer requirements and type of use are always considered when designing and installing our scales. The scales can be flush with the ground, installed on the surface or in a slope with the other end of the weigh bridge open. Our long experience and product design guarantee a fast installation. Tamtron has the accreditation which allows us to calibrate the scales after installation.

The weigh bridges can be manufactured either of steel (Scalex 1000) or reinforced concrete (Scalex 1001). All scale types are safe, reliable and user-friendly. The weigh bridges can of course be equipped with heating, which helps to keep the bridge clean in cold weather. In addition to this, the scale systems can be supplemented with a variety of accessories -e.g. a PC-based driver terminal, identification, wireless communication, gate functions, video surveillance, etc.
The PC software programme 'Scalex Pro' is designed to meet the requirements of industrial companies. It can accept weight data from both Tamtron's on-board crane scales and wheel loader scales.
All Tamtron scales have EU type approval. We also have bespoke approvals for many countries outside the European Union.

Wheel loader scales
Weighing using wheel loader scales increases rapidly in the transport and logistics industry. Weighing during material transport and loading will make working faster and more efficient. The loading of trucks and wagons as well as stock management are typical applications for these systems. Loads weighed with an approved scale can be invoiced directly, making the business transaction fair both for the seller and the buyer.

Timber crane scales
Quick, precise and reliable timber crane scales
Tamtron hydraulic timber crane scale is designed for fast paced, dynamic weighing while working with timber. The scale uses the crane's hydraulic oil in its own independent, closed circuit. Weighing data is precise due to the small volume of the crane's hydraulic hose and low system pressure at the transducer.
The scale instrument records the handled material by bundle and in total. The memory structure is highly efficient: one can either insert titles for the memory slots or download the ready-made text file of forestry companies. Data transfer is available in several formats, e.g. in Excel, text, XML and PRL. The instrument is compact and easily detaches from its magnetic clip.
Instrument's effective functionalities include

- Fast update of programmes, user information and materials with the USB flash driver.
When printing the receipt, options are several: via USB flash drive as a text file, with a printer (optional accessory), or by data transfer with radio modems directly into the vehicle's onboard computer. Receipts contain the company's contact details, the date and the weighing data grouped into memory slots.

Tamtron's onboard material handling scales are handy add-ons for vehicle cranes. With the material handling scale you can weigh single loads, bulk bags and waste bags. The weighing is dynamic during lifting of the boom. An advanced weighing algorithm guarantees a correct weighing result independent of the crane operator. The equipment is approved for commercial weighing. The scale displays the mass on the crane and the sum load. Wireless weighing information transfer uses either point-to-point modems, Bluetooth, Wlan, GSM data or GPRS communication, and the destination can be Tamtron's reporting software, the company's own invoicing or other information systems.

Railway scales
